All about our brains

This half term we have been learning about our brains and how we learn.

Here are some of the facts we have researched:

The brain is light-pink and grey
The brain sends messages to all the parts of the body

When your brain stops working the whole system stops working because the messages from the brain are cut off.
Your brain develops all the time from the day you were born to when you die, it grows when you collect information. By L.F and A.B

The human brain is over three times as big as the brain of other mammals that are of similar body size. A.D

A skull fracture is a break in one or more of the bones in the skull usually occurring as a result of blunt force trauma . CC & CJ

Cerebrospinal fluid is fluid that protects the bran and stops germs going into it and cushions it. FP & CD

If you shake your head rapidly it will stop the brain from working. HW & JF

Only 10% of the brain is made of neurons and the rest of it is made of blood vessels. L.E

The skull doesn’t always protect the brain from germs.A.B

The brain is wrinkled because the surrounding fluids get sucked up and makes the brain all pruny.
The brain gets signals, adds them up and sends them in a split second.

The Brain is pink and grey.
Germs can get into your brain like meningitis From RW and CR.

The brain and the heart are important. If there was no brain the heart would not be able to work. If there is no heart the brain would not have enough blood to function.
If you’re a child your brain will weigh 5 pounds. O.C & D.S

Your brain helps you move your muscles and see and hear.
Your brain helps you hear see and move and think it can also store lots and lots of memory like when you’re favorite TV program starts stuff like that.
If you never had a brain you would be DEAD. OH NO!
