Autumn Poetry and Art

In literacy we have been writing Haikus to describe Autumn. We have also made Autumn art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy, a famous artist.

The berries are sweet
The leaves are falling off trees
That is in autumn.

Crimson leaves dropping.
Blue sky shining down on land.
Brown conkers so nice.

Sapphire blue sky,
Leaves Fluttering from the trees,
Autumn starts today.

Autumn Time
Crispy golden leaves,
Soft fluffy dandelions,
Cotton wool up high.

Smooth and rusty leaves,
How tall and thin they may be,
Floating past conker trees.

By AP

Squirrels squealing
On the branches
Eating conkers while sleeping madly.

Squirrel eating nuts
Leaves turn golden in Autumn
Birds sing beautifully.

  1. I was so impressed with all your Haikus class 9 and I really enjoyed marking them. Some super art work as well. Ms Turner
